Robert Dougherty has been drawing and painting for 8 decades. His inspiration for painting has been the old masters such as Rembrandt. Robert’s work had been influenced by several well-known artists such as James Michael Smith and John Stobart. Robert specializes in landscapes, still life and portraits of people and animals (see gallery pictures for examples).  Robert has been painting with a local Artist Group and annually, approximately 100 artists vote on the best paintings.  For four years, Robert has won first place in these events.
